New & Improved Pair Teams Track!
In response to the ever-increasing number of Adult Pairs teams in the United States we have an enhanced program. Headed up by 2006 US Olympic team members and US Pairs Silver Medalists Marcy Hinzmann and Aaron Parchem we plan, among other things, to give the pairs skaters dedicated pairs sessions where we will work on technique for lifts, spins, jumps, death spirals and throw jump. In addition, to the on ice programs there will be intensive daily off ice lift classes, an off ice unison workshop and much more. The new ISU Judging system, which is being implemented by US Figure Skating for the 2007 season will be discussed at length including on ice and off ice instruction on developing new techniques to maximize your scores We will provide the pairs skaters with information and insights on maximizing your scores.

The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold

"It took over a decade for a sequel to "The Cutting Edge," starring D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly, to be made. Now I absolutely love the original -- "Toe pick!" -- so I don't know why the folks at ABC Family decided to continue (and potentially ruin) the story. But it's an Olympic year, and figure skating is very "hawt." In this made-for-TV movie, the daughter (Christy Carlson Romano) of the original skating lovebirds -- this time played by different actors -- decides to pair up with a new partner, an in-line skater. Naturally, the two athletes develop a love-hate relationship while dreaming of Olympic glory. Legendary skater Oksana Baiul co-stars. Before the sequel starts, you can watch the original "Cutting Edge" at 5 p.m. "
